Suspected Attempt of FBI to Arrest NH Man Foiled

As we said in a previous article about the arrest of Journalist Pete Santilli, when the government starts arresting onlookers and journalists for exercising free speech rights, start thinking “tin pot dictators”, “banana republic”, and America as a “third world country”.

Today could have been a lot different for NH’s Jerry DeLemus.

Jerry, as you may know, had been one of a few men from NH who traveled to the Bundy ranch to report on the situation there. He recently had traveled to the Malheur “National” Wildlife Refuge in Oregon, to try to mediate, or at least get the story from the source.

Since the shooting of the unarmed rancher Robert Lavoy Finicum in cold blood by an Oregon State Trooper (whose name shall not be mentioned here yet) went viral, there have been other developments.

We have seen reports (unconfirmed) that there is a list of 68 people who are the subjects of arrest warrants, just for being present at either of these situations. We suspected Jerry might be one of them, although he says he has never been served with any warrant. That suspicion grew stronger with events that happened yesterday and today.

Jerry received a phone call from the FBI claiming that “someone was talking about him”. We had to laugh when we heard this because it sounded like typical internet click-bait, intended to get his attention off them, and onto himself, and onto who might be gossiping about him. He asked if it was “good or bad” and they said neither, but that they wanted to meet with him. When we heard about this we immediately expressed the opinion that this was clearly a ruse to get him out in the open and advised him NOT to agree to meet any of them. Our thoughts were that if the FBI had anything important to tell him, they would have said it on the phone, and that this was merely a ruse to facilitate his arrest.

This morning, after assuring the FBI he would be unarmed, Jerry went to the agreed location with his wife, State Representative Susan DeLemus. However, the FBI cancelled the meeting, citing fears for their “safety”.

We say, her may have dodged the proverbial bullet (literally) and that unless there is some sort of warrant, Jerry should not agree to meet again.

Let’s stop and think — it’s the government who has been shooting and killing people, people who are exercising free speech who have not threatened anyone. The government has nothing to fear from us, but we have, it seems, everything to fear from them.
