Charlotte Iserbyt on the Corruption of the Tea Party

Charlotte Iserbyt on the Corruption of the Tea Party
Her appraisal of what the Tea Party has become is spot on.

For many years our finest researchers poked and prodded me, Charlotte, to face the treason being perpetrated by people ostensibly on the side of constitutional freedoms. I found it extremely difficult to throw people like Phyllis Schlafly, with whom I had worked closely in the seventies and eighties, overboard. After all, how could she be bad when she had done such a great job going up against the womens libbers, fighting the ERA, and up until now had brilliantly fought any attempt to amend the Constitution?

Even after I got myself fired from the Dept. of Education, even after I knew those appointed to work in the Department in the 1980s,  were Trotskyites (like William Kristol and  many others), I still hung to the belief that perhaps I was misjudging those people. Even after being  appointed liaison with the White House President’s Private Sector Initiative and objecting to its goal to destroy capitalism by merging the public and private sector,  my eyes were still closed! Shame on Charlotte.

No question that Charlotte Iserbyt was probably the No. 1 Pollyanna, not wanting to see what should have been as clear to her as the nose on her face.

Prior to my being taken on as Sr. Policy Advisor in the U.S. Dept. of Education I received a strange phone call which I will NEVER forget.  It was from Donald Senese, former Republican Study Committee member in the Congress, who had been appointed Assistant Secretary of Education in the Office of Educational Research and Improvement, the MOST important office in the WORLD dealing with education. He called me fairly late one night to chat about my forthcoming appointment to work in OERI.  After some preliminaries regarding my experience as a school board member and co-founder of Guardians of Education for Maine, which sorta “showed my activist colors; he asked me, what at the time and in retrospect seemed a very strange question:

‘WILL YOU  BE LOYAL”?

I, of course, said “Yes”.  I assumed he meant “to the Constitution”.  I do not think that is what he meant.  He knew in advance what Reagan’s agenda was.

Many of the people associated with the TP are not loyal to the Constitution.  They may not even know they are carrying out a Trotskyite agenda, as I did not know until I found the evidence in my office, shortly before I leaked the technology grant.

The Tea Party, (those self-appointed national groups you see in the media not the original grassroots) has done so much damage to the work many of us have tried to do over the years.

It would be wise to take a public stand stating you have finally figured out how you and so many other true blue patriots have been deceived.  Cut all ties with all TPP/TPE/TPN-style groups, saying until they can prove to you they are other than useful idiots, that they were set up from the beginning to thwart the efforts of true patriots,  you want no more to do with them.

Many of you are doing very good work and I believe you are serious about saving this country.  You have done so much good work that a statement “outing the Tea Party” 100% A-Z, would do much to help our little but effective band of patriots in our effort to save the nation from tyranny.

Charlotte Iserbyt is the consummate whistleblower! Iserbyt served as Senior Policy Advisor in the Office of Educational Research and Improvement (OERI), U.S. Department of Education, during the first Reagan Administration, where she first blew the whistle on a major technology initiative which would control curriculum in America’s classrooms. Iserbyt is a former school board director in Camden, Maine and was co-founder and research analyst of Guardians of Education for Maine (GEM) from 1978 to 2000. She has also served in the American Red Cross on Guam and Japan during the Korean War, and in the United States Foreign Service in Belgium and in the Republic of South Africa. Iserbyt is a speaker and writer, best known for her 1985 booklet Back to Basics Reform or OBE: Skinnerian International Curriculum and her 1989 pamphlet Soviets in the Classroom: America’s Latest Education Fad which covered the details of the U.S.-Soviet and Carnegie-Soviet Education Agreements which remain in effect to this day. She is a freelance writer and has had articles published in Human Events, The Washington Times, The Bangor Daily News, and included in the record of Congressional hearings.
