Eric Zuesse is WRONG, Again – TeaParty Started in 2007

The kings of disinfo over at Huffington Post are at it again.

Eric Zuesse is claiming they have “proof” that a single, isolated event gave rise to our modern day tea party, as well as trying to claim that the tea party is “astroturf”.

Anyone who was around back then, knew that the tea party started on Dec 16, 2007 and young libertarians fond of candidates like Ron Paul and Gary Johnson were the ones who gathered at the harbors and in Boston for a rally. Ron Paul is still considered the ‘godfather’ and inspiration, although the tea party is about issues and not about candidates or campaigns.

Later a friend of the movement named Rick Santilli, talked about us on air, and that’s when the fakes came along, started by GOP consultants looking to rake in cash sometime in 2009. Numerous of these consultants claim to have started the tea party, but little did they know it was already working for two years.

I know because I stood out in the street with it for many protests during 2007, 2008 and 2009, pre-April 15th.

There were NO Koch Brothers to be found in 2007. The movement is coming up on it 6th anniversary and there are STILL no Koch Bros or funding for the legit libertarian tea party.

The masters of disinfo at the HuffPo just won’t give up.
