Dover NH Mayor Asked to Resign from Bloomberg’s Radical Anti-Gun Group
NYC Mayor Bloomberg’s radical anti-gun organization has really gone overboard this time. At their staged rent-a-mob event in Concord where out-of-state activists read the names of supposed “gun violence” victims since Newtown, they included such infamous characters as Los Angeles cop killer Chris Dorner and suspected Boston Marathon bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev.
An initial analysis of the list used for the Bloomberg “No More Names” campaign shows that 1 in 12 are crime suspects shot by police or armed citizens…
Evidently, the anti-gun crowd cannot distinguish between criminals and crime victims. There IS such a thing as a justified shooting, but not in Bloomberg world.
These anti-freedom propagandists have now lost all credibility. There is NO reason for any New Hampshire elected official to associate themselves with this radical group that mourns the death of terrorists and cop killers.
Currently, there is one: Dover Mayor Dean Trefethen who is listed as a member of Mayors Against Illegal Guns. Too bad these Mayors do not appear to be FOR using guns against terrorists and violent criminals.

CHAIRMAN HORN ASKS DOVER MAYOR TO RESIGN FROM DISCREDITED, OUT-OF-STATE GUN CONTROL GROUP
Concord – New Hampshire Republican State Committee Chairman Jennifer Horn sent the following letter to Dover Mayor Dean Trefethen asking him to resign from Mayors Against Illegal Guns. Mayor Trefethen is the only public official in New Hampshire who has signed on with this discredited, out-of-state gun control group:
Mayor Trefethen,
I am writing to respectfully request that you resign your membership in Mayors Against Illegal Guns (MAIG), the discredited, out-of-state gun control group that is currently at the center of a national scandal. The group is run by liberal New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and has openly collaborated with President Obama’s Organizing for Action in New Hampshire.
For months, this extremist organization has been running a dishonest smear campaign against law abiding gun owners in New Hampshire and across the country. This week it held an outrageous gun control rally in Concord that honored thugs, murderers and terrorists. The Union Leader (3/21/13) today reports that some of the monsters who were memorialized at this event included Boston marathon bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev, Christopher Dorner, a former Los Angeles police officer who went on a killing spree in February, and Kevin Bailey, who was killed by police after opening fire on officers during a traffic stop. The New York Daily News (6/20/13) reports that MAIG even sent a book of ‘victims’ to Senator Kelly Ayotte’s office that also included these horrific villains.
It is insulting that this out-of-state organization believes Granite Staters are not smart enough to see through their blatant lies and dishonest tactics. Mayor Bloomberg is a liberal, New York City elitist who obviously has little respect for the intelligence of your constituents and people across our state.
We need to send a message to Mayor Bloomberg that his extremist organization and his discredited smear campaign are not welcome in New Hampshire. You can take the first step in this effort by denouncing Mayors Against Illegal Guns and resigning your membership immediately. If you refuse to take this course of action, you will show your constituents that you approve of the shameful and outrageous behavior of this organization.
