“We R Here” Coalition to Fight Internet Taxes

“Online commerce has revolutionized American small business by allowing a Main Street store anywhere to become a Main Street store everywhere.” ~ We R Here Coalition

A new group that has vowed to fight the imposition of internet taxes and thus protect small businesses has joined forces with business owners and consumers in New Hampshire.

The We R Here Coalition describes itself and its mission:

“Across the U.S., thousands of web-enabled retailers provide consumers with a greater selection of goods and prices, creating jobs in local communities at a time when jobs are most needed.

WE R HERE is comprised of small business retailers around the country who are using the Internet and are coming together to ensure government policies are enacted that create a fair marketplace for all types of retail businesses to thrive and innovation to prosper.

WE R HERE gives small business online retailers a unified voice, demonstrating to government policy makers and opinion leaders the positive role of online small business retail in the 21st Century economy. The coalition effort mobilizes online retailers to work together to protect them from misguided and predatory laws and regulations that could kill jobs and undermine innovation.”

We R Here is looking for business spokespeople to help support the mission of no sales tax on internet businesses.

They are also asking NH residents to sign the petition OPPOSING the “Mainstreet Fairness Act”: New Hampshire Petition.
