John Lynch Job Destroyer

I Destroyed How Many Jobs in NH?

Governor Lynch and the left-o-crats are guilty of false advertising. He (and they) have framed John Lynch as a man who is good for the state, and a shining example of how best to ride out a recession. To support this claim they point to the states better than average unemployment rate, which while lower than other parts of New England and the nation, means absolutely nothing when you look at the actual numbers used to arrive at it.

In July of 2009, New Hampshire was at 6.6% unemployment. This July’s adjusted figure is 5.8%. Lynch and the democrats would point to this and say “Look – John Lynch is good for jobs.” Terri Norelli, Democrat House speaker even penned an editorial bragging about the great job the democrats have done for New Hampshire’s economy.

So you are taking credit for chasing 16,320 job seekers out of the New Hampshire work force?

That’s fantastic because in July of 2009 the New Hampshire work force population was at 755,820, with 707,710 people employed and 48,110 unemployed. (www.nhgov/nhes/elmi). In July 2010 the work force is 739,500, with 696,730 people employed, and 42,770 people unemployed. That’s 16,320 fewer people seeking employment in John Lynch’s New Hampshire.

That’s (roughly) the entire population of the city of Laconia. And no, it is not getting better. Since March 2010, NH has 8,640 fewer people available for work, and the August preliminary work force numbers from the Bureau of Labor statistics shows another work force population drop for that month.

Unemployment is at 5.7% but only because several hundred more people gave up trying to find work in John Lynch’s New Hampshire economy. If this keeps up we’ll back to 4% in no time. Too bad no one will be working here.

So I guess we get to call him John “The Job Destroyer” Lynch from now on.
