July 29 Tea Parties a Success!

About 30 people from the NH Tea Party Coalition gathered in the pouring rain in front of the WMUR studios, Manchester’s major TV station, on the evening of Wednesday July 29th to protest Obamacare.

Armed with signs, wearing yellow snake t-shirts and holding umbrellas, they shouted anti-nanny state slogans and held anti-Obamacare signs.

WMUR took lots of footage, including this writer, leading the charge with a bullhorn, but did nothing about reporting it.

After all, they would not want to allow the public to know that 80% of us do NOT want government to start managing doctors and our personal health care decisions!

Honest journalism is dead!

Meanwhile, in Portsmouth, Coalition members organized about 40 people outside the Portsmouth library where a health care forum was being sponsored by ‘Seacoast for Change’.

In attendance were two SEIU/ACORN paid volunteers in their purple t-shirts. Around 20 minutes into the event members of the NH-TPC group came inside. At that point there were about 90-100 people in the room and 40 of them were NH-TPC! Since they were spread out all over the room, the group got to ask a lot of the questions.

Presentations were given and a lot of usual statistics were tossed around, info that is typically very misleading and easy to counter.

When one of the Tea Party group got a chance to ask a question, he asked (by show of hands) how many people in the room did NOT have healthcare coverage at the present time. Only 3 people raised their hands. That left around 99% of the rest with coverage of some kind. He then said that, in his opinion, we had the best healthcare system in the world and that clearly 88% of everyone in the US had healthcare coverage so why not simply fix make it so the rest can afford coverage?

Another one of the Tea Party group mentioned that at least 1/3rd of the 45 million they claim have no coverage are actually illegal aliens.

Of course, it seemed that some of those folks didn’t care what they were told — they are just so focused on thinking it’s going to be FREE !!!
