Free Speech Under Attack in Moultonboro
Our friends in Moultonboro are having some difficulty with the public library there.
The LAKES REGION TEA PARTY is embroiled in a dispute with the Moultonboro Public Library. The library instituted a policy that says the LRTP can’t use their meeting room if LRTP wants a political candidate to come there and answer questions.
The library is funded with public tax dollars. This policy is blatantly unconstitutional and it could spread to other libraries if we don’t put extreme pressure on the library to change the policy. The Trustees meet next week – a week from TODAY – at 10 AM to vote on this.

• When: Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 10:00 AM
• Where: Moultonboro Public Library – The library is on Main Street Route 25 right in the middle of town – can’t miss it.
• Why: STOP the erosion of our rights to Free Speech under the First Amendment and our right to assembly.
