Tea Party Lies
The left is desperate and passing around a chain email that enumerates things the tea party is supposedly AGAINST and is advocating for eradication. Don’t believe it. Many of the things on the list need REFORM. But every single item on the list is a lie, except for ONE item.
Yes, we do want to shut down the Department of Education!
This item was mentioned on a blog and a commenter ignorantly questioned why tea partiers would want to ‘get rid of education’.
Do you see the ignorance that is applied here? The Federal Department of Ed has nothing whatsoever to do with ‘getting rid of education’ and everything to do with getting rid of things that are NOT local control, that are redistribution of tax dollars, and that are mandates, sometimes unfunded, and most definitely born from NON-governmental organizations like the New England Consortium, the National Governors Association (our current Governor is VERY guilty of being part of this perfidy!) and even UNESCO, who sets a lot of the social justice ‘rules’ that hamper education, even if their treaties and resolutions remain unsigned by the US Senate. Please look up articles on this site about education, Arne Duncan, IB, UNESCO, etc.
Finally, this is without a doubt, the most egregious lie in the list:
They are suggesting that the tea party would like to repeal the 1964 Civil Rights Act.
WRONG WRONG WRONG.
This last item was totally fabricated by Rachel Maddow, the lying hate-mongering talk show host on MSNBC.
We ask anyone, ANYONE, to provide any proof that the ‘tea party’, the real one, has said they want to repeal the Civil Rights Act? We suspect this was an exaggeration that came from a discussion that Rand Paul had with an interviewer. He then went on to philosophize that while he decried the practice of some private clubs who still discriminate in the area of membership (as is still done in some places) he didn’t know how far the government should go to rule on how private entities can run their businesses.
It is absolutely appalling to see how desperate the progressives have become and to what extent they will go in an attempt to smear anyone who would like to stop the march to socialism.
