Claremont Tea Party

Today’s Claremont Tea Party was held at Carmella’s Restaurant, 50 Pleasant St, Claremont NH at 12:30 PM.

Apparently the organizers had no idea that the Moose Center does not allow political rallies or events to be held at their facility. Perhaps this rule should have been made clearer at the outset when it was rented.

The Howards had no intentions of deceiving anyone when they first secured the venue as claimed by Linda Stankevich in this Meredith News article.

The turn of events had a silver lining however. Moonbats from Blue Hampshire who were planning to protest were mostly missing.

Among the attendees were representatives of the Keene 912 Project, the Manchester 912 Project, NH Advantage Coalition and Coalition of NH Taxpayers.

Jack Kimball (exploring for Governor) spoke as did Bob Guida, exploring for US Congress District 2 (Hodes’ seat) as well as candidates for Claremont city offices.

Claremont has been embroiled in the issue of whether to institute a spending cap, as was mandated in Rochester, Somersworth, Concord and Manchester and is in effect in Franklin and Laconia.

Carmella’s serves the best club sandwich I think I’ve ever had and we thank them for accommodating this event on such short notice.
