A double whammy here. Slowly but surely the poisonous totalitarian drip of censorship and control is starting to take effect and spill out into the open.<\/p>\n

Peter Orszag, insectoid-like czar for Obama, admitted that the government will control the amount of health care that can be delivered to the elderly in order to keep costs down. I don’t know about you, but to me this constitutes rationing.<\/p>\n

Speaking to the Economic Club of DC, Orzsag cites it as the ‘only real solution’.<\/p>\n

Remember it’s called an “Independent Payment Advisory Board”… or IPAB for short. This is in addition to the CER or Comparative Effectiveness Research panels which will determine WHAT procedures can be done.<\/p>\n

In addition, you may want to see the book where Cass Sunstein, another czar, has made the case for rewriting the first amendment.<\/p>\n

In “Democracy and the Problem of Free Speech<\/a>” Sunstein worries about the present \u201csituation in which like-minded people speak or listen mostly to one another,\u201d and thinks that in \u201clight of astonishing economic and technological changes, we must doubt whether, as interpreted, the constitutional guarantee of free speech is adequately serving democratic goals.\u201d He proposes a \u201cNew Deal for speech [that] would draw on Justice Brandeis\u2019 insistence on the role of free speech in promoting political deliberation and citizenship.\u201d <\/p>\n
