The evaluation, done by Kantar US Insights and Millward Brown Digital, shows that of the 9.5 million visitors to the Healthcare.gov website only 36,000 individuals completed enrollment.

“These miserable results show why even former Obama Administration officials are calling for heads to roll over the implementation of ObamaCare,” said Greg Moore, AFP-NH State Director. “The rollout of this poorly conceived law has been as bad as the consequences of the policy. It’s no wonder that the sponsor of the bill called the way the Administration was putting it in place a train wreck. Instead of affordable health insurance, Americans are stuck with broken promises, higher health care costs, limited access to care and a system that’s clearly not ready for primetime.”

A Capitol newspaper, The Hill, quotes the author of the analysis as calling the website’s performance “atrocious” and described the site as being “unprepared” to launch. AFP-NH said this evidence shows why ObamaCare should be delayed from implementation.

“When big business complained that the employer mandate tax wasn’t ready to be put in place, the President delayed it for a year, at minimum,” added Moore. “When insurance companies said that out-of-pocket caps would cause major problems, the President delayed those as well. When Congress protested having to live under the same rules as the rest of the country through ObamaCare, he gave them a special subsidy. Now that the American people, by their inability to use a terribly flawed website, are sending a message to the President that the individual mandate and the health insurance exchanges aren’t ready, why won’t he give them the same benefit that he’s given to special interests and the well-connected?”

###
Americans for Prosperity (AFP) is a nationwide organization of citizen-leaders committed to advancing every individual’s right to economic freedom and opportunity.
