Many of our members attended a meeting on Common Core last night at Manchester City Hall.<\/p>\n

The vote on accepting the $21 million by joining Common Core was tabled to a future date when the Supt. of Education will submit a report.<\/p>\n

Copies of “Common Core: A Scheme to Rewrite Education”<\/a> by Alex Newman were distributed.<\/p>\n

This morning on Girard at Large, Manchester Mayor Gatsas stated he cared not what the children were reading for “informational texts” only that they learned to read. Gatsas completely ignored the fact that much of the informational text offered in today’s curricula are politically biased, and therefore avenues for indoctrination.<\/p>\n
