NHGOP ADOPTS RESOLUTION STRONGLY SUPPORTING VOTER ID IN NH

Concord, NH – At its Executive Committee meeting last night, the New Hampshire Republican State Committee adopted a resolution stating the NHGOP’s “strong opposition to continued efforts by Democrat legislators and the Governor to defeat legislation requiring voters to present photo identification in order to register and vote in New Hampshire.” More than thirty states already have identification requirements on the books, including Democrat-controlled states such as Connecticut and Rhode Island. New Hampshire Republican State Committee Chairman Wayne MacDonald released the following statement about the resolution:

“Voters should be outraged by the recent reports of voter fraud in New Hampshire, and the action taken by the NH GOP reflects the frustration many people across our state are feeling. It’s a shame that Governor Lynch and Democrats in the legislature have insisted that no problem exists and in the past have opposed efforts that would strengthen our laws. More than thirty states, both blue and red, already have voter ID requirements on the books and, given our First-in-the-Nation Primary role, we should too. We must do all that we can to stamp out voter fraud while ensuring that voters get to fairly exercise one of their most fundamental rights. Protecting the integrity of our elections is fundamental to our democracy.”

Speaker Bill O’Brien moved the motion, which received a second from Manchester Republican Committee Chairman Jeff Frost.

“The Central Intelligence Agency owns everyone of any significance in the major media.”
–William Colby, former CIA Director, cited by Dave Mcgowan, Derailing Democracy

“You could get a journalist cheaper than a good call girl, for a couple hundred dollars a month.”
–CIA operative, discussing the availability and prices of journalists willing to peddle CIA propaganda and cover stories. Katherine the Great, by Deborah Davis

“There is quite an incredible spread of relationships. You don’t need to manipulate Time magazine, for example, because there are [Central Intelligence] Agency people at the management level.”
–William B. Bader, former CIA intelligence officer, briefing members of the Senate Intelligence Committee, The CIA and the Media, by Carl Bernstein

“The Agency’s relationship with [The New York] Times was by far its most valuable among newspapers, according to CIA officials. [It was] general Times policy … to provide assistance to the CIA whenever possible.”
–The CIA and the Media, by Carl Bernstein

“Senator William Proxmire has pegged the number of employees of the federal intelligence community at 148,000 … though Proxmire’s number is itself a conservative one. The “intelligence community” is officially defined as including only those organizations that are members of the U.S. Intelligence Board (USIB); a dozen other agencies, charged with both foreign and domestic intelligence chores, are not encompassed by the term…. The number of intelligence workers employed by the federal government is not 148,000, but some undetermined multiple of that number.”
–Jim Hougan, Spooks

“For some time I have been disturbed by the way the CIA has been diverted from its original assignment. It has become an operational and at times a policy-making arm of the government…. I never had any thought that when I set up the CIA that it would be injected into peacetime cloak and dagger operations.”
–former President Harry Truman, 22 December 1963, one month after the JFK assassination, op-ed section of the Washington Post, early edition

Rest assured they do not represent THIS group, and most of us have never heard of them.

They have decided to endorse Newt Gingrich, claiming he is somehow a tea party candidate. Many of us think that Newt basically stands for everything the opposite of what the tea party was founded upon in 2007.

A short foray into Newt’s voting record could have cleared up any confusion that he would deserve the title of tea party candidate.

Saw a posting yesterday on a social network, which really bothered me.

After all we just went through, and continue to go through, with TARP, bailouts, stimulus, two rounds of quantitative easing (QE), and now a pending IMF bailout, I see this article, titled “Federal Records Show Romney Campaign Bought And Paid For By Big Banks”

Remember Goldman Sachs? Morgan Stanley ring any bells?

When you look at the employers of the people who contribute most to Mitt Romney’s campaign, does it worry you? It sure makes me think.

I’m not a Romney supporter, but if you are, and if you live in Iowa or New Hampshire, you should probably factor this into your thinking over the coming days.

I guess it’s really all just a big game, and we’re in the stands, watching, not even on the field.

With no ‘party’ machine in between, Governor Buddy Roemer met with the NH Tea Party leaders but not before he partook of a $400 haircut for the benefit of autism at Dave Holden’s “Hair Biz” which is located at street level just under the tea party’s 8 North Main Street office in Concord.

On the wall at Holden’s business is a gallery of signs, most , by the candidates who have done the same.

Roemer Gets $400 Hair Cut for Charity

The tradition started when Holden and Ed Naile, Chairman of CNHT, noticed Democratic candidate John Edwards’ obsession with his hair. Edwards was challenged to get another expensive haircut, but this time, the bulk of the fee would go to aid the cause of defeating childhood autism. And so began a tradition.

To Holden’s credit, Roemer’s hair looked pretty neat. The former Governor of Louisiana then gave a speech upstairs that concentrated on issues very important to the tea party: corruption in government, money in government, and too much government. He also called out establishment candidates like Romney and Gingrich for taking too much money from PACs. It was a message that is not to be ignored.
—

Although the NHTPC has agreed not to endorse any candidate in the primary, we have agreed to meet with any candidate who dares take us on all at once. So far Gov Roemer is the only one to do that, although we have had inquiries from Bachmann and Paul. We are still willing to accommodate them.
